PostSubject: Korriban (Old Sith Tower) - Through another's eyes   Thu Feb 26, 2009 2:50 pm

He dragged his talons along the hard stone, cutting through the quiet atmosphere of an abandoned planet. It was his home, his ancestors last breaths that he drew in with the heave of his armored chest. If any of his brethren were here now, they lay in the same decay that this barren land offered. His lithe body pulled itself up as if beckoned, one step at a time, spirally through the desolation. A master’s call cannot be forgotten, nor go unanswered. She awaited him, as she awaited another.

Curling around the final bend, he let his body rest against the cold stone of the interior walls. His black scales melted to the obsidian structure, and each muscle tensed by her mere presence. The sound of her voice mingled with the hiss of a blade as she patrolled the inner circle, wearing a line deeper each time she passed.

“Time to arise, time to awaken, a law that has long prevailed. From the ashes of many come the fortunes of few, and now is the time to assail.”

((Character in Play: Jerex Ak'Chazar))

It was as though a call had been sent to him specifically. It had been a short time since the young advanced super clone had made a public appearance. His part in the Dark Lords operation Deadlock had been the time. The job had proved very profitable.

Jerex made his way into the old tower. His attire design was that of a rich person would most likely be seen wearing but int the colors of purple and some black. A cape flowed behind him as he walked through the halls to where he felt her presence. The one that called him there.

“Who is left, my apprentice…?”

Palîn stilled as Jerex reached the top of the stairs, poised in mid-step as if she considered her own question. But slowly, she relaxed her muscles, easing her tense body away from combat and into a sense of decisiveness. Raising the sword she was dragging before her, she slid a finger over the edge as a frown slid over her full lips. Dull.

“The blade is dull, it would seem. It begs for battle, but could only hold its dwindling position, and draw no victory from its combat.”

Lifting her eyes from the blade, they settled comfortably on Jerex, inviting him into the open room. She did not only speak of the ancient Sith Sword that she held before her, but of its owner, and its order.

“Shall we sharpen it with new blood?”

"It would seem the Sith are acting like the Jedi. When things turn for the better they gather. When things turn bad they scatter like ants and hide."

Jerex spoke as he stepped into the room. He tossed the cape back behind his shoulders as he took in his surroundings. Stepping up to Palin, he knelt down on one knee and lowered his head in a sign of respect.

"Now may be the perfect time mother. Belial has caused the fall of the Republic but has been forced back by the Wayland Empire. They now control Coruscant and the Jedi have crawled out from under their rocks to piece the government back together while allying with the Wayland Empire."

“It has come down to two then, a master and an apprentice. The world is not as dark as we often see it, my apprentice. It is time to come out of the shrouds we have covered ourselves with, and embrace a new opportunity.”

At this point in time, each was a necessity to the other. There was little risk of betrayal at this point, though a master must always be cautious of how well she prepared an apprentice. If the intent was to train a successor, you will ultimately be succeeded. Sheathing the blade that she carried with a single, fluid movement, Palîn undid the clasp of her cape and let it fall to the ground. These kind of formalities were unnecessary and frivolous; when a master and an apprentice went out to hunt, they needed not to advertise their status to the world. The news would come soon enough if they were successful.

“From now on, you must ask to learn what you wish to learn, and I will teach.”

Taking a few steps towards the winding stairwell, the Hssiss lifted its head to monitor the situation. He watched her back, whether to guard it or seek his opportunity to feast upon the one who had replaced his first master. It was the way of the Sith.

“We depart from this crumbling land. Have you any questions?”
